Interreg Europe project RIWET: PUBLIC-PRIVATE GOVERNANCE OF RIVERS AND WETLANDS RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION AS BLUE-GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE.

RIWET aims to find answers and gain more insight into what is needed for climate-proof systems in Europe. In the RIWET project, 12 partners from 11 regions across Europe work together with local communities, organisations and landowners to jointly design long-term solutions. By sharing knowledge, exchanging good practices, and offering experiences on how collaboration between social, private and public stakeholders can lead to widely accepted policies, nature-based solutions for the restoration of blue-green infrastructure are identified and implemented. Citizen science also plays an important role in this.

Roos Galjaard from Bureau PAU wrote the application and is now the projectmanager to support the Lead partner in the implementation of the project. For more information, please visit this website.

Project duration: April 2023 – March 2028
