BUFFER+ is a transnational cooperation project in Northwest Europe focused on restoring peatlands to improve carbon storage and water buffering capacity. By rehabilitating drained peat areas, the project contributes to climate mitigation and adaptation, enhances biodiversity, and creates new economic opportunities. The partnership consists of 21 partners and 7 associated organizations from five countries, representing a wide range of peatland types.
