    De Suikerzijde

    In 2008 sloot de Suikerfabriek van Groningen voorgoed haar deuren. Twee jaar later besloot de gemeente Groningen het terrein van ca. 120 hectare aan te kopen. In de Omgevingsvisie the Next City geeft de Gemeente prioriteit aan de ontwikkeling van het Suikerfabriek terrein tot een nieuw en compleet stadsdeel, waarbij verbinding, ruimtelijke kwaliteit, leefklimaat en duurzaamheid (energieneutraal, aardgasloos en klimaatbestendig) voorop staan.

    RIWET

    RIWET is a European cooperation project in which 12 partners from 11 regions work together to develop climate-proof systems. In collaboration with local communities, they design and implement nature-based solutions for the restoration of blue-green infrastructure, with citizen science playing a key role.

    Wijkvernieuwing Nieuw-Indische buurt

    Bureau PAU voert in opdracht van de gemeente Groningen het projectmanagement uit voor de herstructurering van de Nieuw-Indische Buurt. De aanpak is gebaseerd op een eerdere verkenning naar wijkvernieuwing en wordt uitgevoerd in samenwerking met woningcorporaties en ontwerppartners.

    BUFFER+

    BUFFER+ is a transnational cooperation project in Northwest Europe focused on restoring peatlands to improve carbon storage and water buffering capacity. By rehabilitating drained peat areas, the project contributes to climate mitigation and adaptation, enhances biodiversity, and creates new economic opportunities. The partnership consists of 21 partners and 7 associated organizations from five countries, representing a wide range of peatland types.
